48 Hours In Rotterdam: The Marriot Hotel..

When people ask me what keeps me so fulfilled in life, my first response is travelling. The satisfaction that jumping on a plane to a new destination brings will never get old, so finally embarking on my trip to the Netherlands was highly anticipated. With only 48 hours to spend in the beautiful city of Rotterdam for a pre birthday celebration, we wanted to stay somewhere special. Somewhere we could feel taken care of and The 5* Marriot Hotel was the perfect selection.

The lobby equip with mustard yellow velvet sofas, fun light fixtures and welcoming smiles from the hotel employees, made for a pleasant entrance as we escaped the rain and came into this modern luxury. Once being approached by the receptionist, we were kindly informed that our two rooms were not yet ready as we had arrived relatively early. This then led to 2 hours spent exploring Rotterdam before we came back to the hotel and were informed of the many activities we could do during our stay, which I highly appreciated. From boat tours to famous museums and much more. The kind receptionist not only took care of us within the hotel, but was also determined to make sure we had an amazing stay whilst in his beautiful city. Following our chat, we were pleasantly surprised as we were now being shown to our stunning joining junior suite on the 6th floor of the hotel.

The suite contained two ultra relaxing pillow top mattresses. Robes and slippers in the closet ready for your arrival. A desk/working area for those visiting on business, high speed internet throughout all rooms, chaise lounge chairs in both rooms and soundproof windows with beautiful views of the Rotterdam city.

The suite also contained two bathrooms for each room, both of which were designed in a stunning marble finish. A deep bathtub and spacious shower separate in both rooms. A fine range of Acca Kappa bath amenities, a makeup mirror with the most accurate day time lighting and of course a trusty hairdryer (which should be mandatory in every hotel).

When booking at the Marriot Rotterdam, it is good to know that you can enjoy the most delicious breakfasts when you climb out of your marshmallow beds in the morning. Feel free to fill up on a great selection of breads, sausages (chicken sausages which were a nice surprise), fresh fruit, yoghurts and more.

Overall my stay at the Marriot hotel was one to remember and was made very special by the sweet hotel staff. I highly recommend booking a stay at this beautiful gem in the heart of Rotterdam, not only for its beauty but also because of how close by it is to every and anything you might want to see in the city. Tell them Shen Talks sent you and have a wonderful stay!
